The Network is proud of its track record of supporting individuals into work, and of helping thousands of BAME professionals progress in their careers. This progress could not have been made without your support as mentors, champions, advocates, and members of the Network.
The NBP is taking action to address some of the major challenges currently being faced by our citizens – 2.5 million unemployed, 991,000 aged 16-24, 12% fewer university applications, disenfranchised youngsters taking to the streets in summer riots, and so on.
The Network will be delivering a range of programmes to support individuals who may be seeking employment, career progression, looking to gain some valuable work or volunteering experience, and working to support offenders & ex-offenders through mentoring & coaching.
With your support - anything from a one-day work shadowing placement to a two-week work placement - we aim to ensure that we can continue to make a difference.
Prior to undertaking any volunteering, work placement or shadowing opportunities, beneficiaries are fully briefed on what will be expected from them, and given advice on making the most of the opportunity. NBP has implemented a Volunteering Policy to ensure systems are in place to support beneficiaries and members throughout the experience. To make the experience a positive one for both beneficiary and the organisation, we are able to provide an outline programme of activities which could be used as a framework for the shadowing/placement opportunity.
If you are interested in offering any opportunities to support our work we would really appreciate 5 minutes of your time to complete our survey.
