Impact of Public Sector Cuts on BME Professionals

How do we prepare for change caused by the deep budget cuts faced by the public sector?

The Network for Black Professionals invites you to examine this question at one of three timely regional events to be held this month.

With over 40% of the BME workforce working in the public sector* it is inevitable that spending cuts will impact disproportionately on BME professionals, so it is vital that you prepare now, before restructuring takes place.

These sessions, to be delivered by NBP’s Chief Executive Robin Landman OBE and HR Consultant Grace Haynes, will present key facts on the impact of public sector cuts and help to prepare BME professionals for organisational change and/or redundancy.

All BME colleagues and NBP members within the public sector are urged to attend this essential event along with senior managers and anyone with an interest in equality and diversity.

  • Friday 16 July – 17:30 – 20:30 - Blackburne House, Liverpool
  • Monday 19 July – 17:30 – 20:30 - New College Nottingham
  • Thursday 29 July – 17:30 – 20:30 - University of East London

The cost for these sessions is just £10 for NBP members and £20 for non-members (£10 for non-member BME staff working for voluntary or community organisations) including refreshments, light buffet and opportunity for networking.

Visit the Events Page to book your place now or email rhonaa@nbp.org.uk. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
