The Network is delighted to be able to offer a range of fully subsidised training opportunities for year two of our Tackling Racial Inequalities project.
Supported by the Department for Communities and Local Government, Tackling Racial Inequalities has provided a considerable boost for the Network and enabled us to offer our tried and tested Black Leadership Initiative programmes to a broader range of organisations in the public and voluntary and community sectors with the key objective of reducing imbalances in employment, education and training.
We have already planned a number of mentoring workshops, mentee induction and intercultural competencies courses to be delivered in February and March, all of which have been oversubscribed.
We now have a further schedule of exciting tailor made courses including work shadowing, career development workshops for BME members of staff and diversity in action workshops for leaders, managers and staff to develop their intercultural competencies. Three dissemination events to be held in February 2011 will share research into issues relating to race equality and good practice and exemplar projects from across the country.
Visit the Events page for full details of the scheduled events. For further information about Tackling Racial Inequalities contact Lenford White lenfordw@nbp.org.uk
