Tackling Racial Inequalities - Mentor Training

22 March 2010 (00:00) - 23 March 2010 (00:00)
London
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5

One of three Mentor Training workshops funded by Department of Communities and Local Government as part of the Tackling Racial Inequalities project.

The mentoring scheme offers Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) staff working in public, voluntary and community sectors the opportunity to be matched with an experienced senior manager from another institution to act as their mentor.

The content of this 2 day residential workshop is very practical providing several opportunities for attendees to practice the fundamental coaching skills that are required to effectively mentor others. There is an emphasis on understanding the context in which the scheme is set - as a career development initiative - and understanding the range of issues and barriers that mentees might have encountered in their journey to date.

If you are a Chief Executive or Director in a public, voluntary or community sector organisation and are interested in becoming a mentor to a BME aspiring manager contact TRI Project Manager Mbeke Waseme on 07825614249 or at mbekew@nbp.org.uk
