The BLI Shadowing & Secondment programme has been very successful in supporting the aspirations of BME staff since 2002, and we would like to provide a forum to review the progress and impact of the programme.
Through the support of CEL, we are holding two review events for individuals who have been on a BLI Secondment or have experienced the BLI Shadowing programme over the last couple of years. We are also very keen to hear from colleagues who have shadowed HMI's on live Ofsted Inspections. Senior colleagues who have been shadowed are also encouraged to attend, as this will provide us with a more complete picture of the impact and effectiveness of the programme. The broad objectives for the review events are to:
- Establish impact of secondments & shadowing in terms of career mobility and personal growth
- Review and feedback on key learning from the experience
- Review and suggest improvements to the co-ordination and management of the programme
- Identify any additional training or support requirements for participants
- Network
