The Network has worked with CILT (the National Centre for Languages) to develop practical programmes for intecultural working, based on National
Occupational Standards established in 2008.
The standards describe six attributes to be met by people and organisations aiming to be effective when working with customers and service-users from different countries or divese cultures.
These are: -
- Develop your skills to work effectively with people from different countries or diverse cultures
- Build working relationship with people from different countries or cultures
- Appoint pople from different countries or diverse cultures
- Manage a multi-cultural team
- Manage delivery of a service to people from different countries or diverse cultures
- Develop new markets with differnt countries or diverse cultures
